VOLUNTEERS

♥   VOLUNTEERS NEEDED   ♥   VOLUNTEERS NEEDED   ♥   VOLUNTEERS NEEDED  ♥

The NAEC relies on a bevy of volunteers, and we've got some pretty sweet incentives to make it worth your time, sweat, and feel good endorphins. Swag that's in the works (last year was a t-shirt and an custom-branded, insulated mug), hearty lunch on race day, and a lift ticket to come back and play on another day. #workhardplayhard

naec categories

All Pro, Expert, Jr Expert, Hardtail, and E-Bike categories will race the same Pro course. NAEC features a level of difficulty that can challenge every rider, the endurance required and technicality of the Pro course is designed to prepare riders to race at an international level event. For example, the Pro overall race times have typically been longer than most EWS races. You will cover a lot of ground, you will climb a lot of vert, and you will do a ton of descending. If you have doubts about your ability to safely complete the Pro course because of difficulty of trails or length of the pedal, please enter Sport.

Sport and Jr. Sport racers will compete on a shorter, less technical version of the Pro course. Sport racers will climb less and will not race on the most difficult trails, but will still have a ton of descending. We do not offer a beginner category because of both the technicality and length of this race.

The E-Bike category is for advanced riders only, it takes place on the Pro course and there is no Power Stage for 2024.  Please do not register for the E-Bike race if you are not comfortable racing on Double-Black Diamond level trails. See the 2024 NAEC Rulebook for E-Bike specific rules.
