Female Racers!

If you are a passionate mountain biker without current sponsor support for the 2024 enduro race season but want to get after your goals, whether you are just getting into racing, have been racing for a while, want to get into racing professionally or want to race for fun. … Then this contest is for YOU!

We’re excited to announce our 2024 NAEC Privateers Contest aimed at supporting a passionate female rider in achieving her racing goals for the 2024 season.

How to ENTER:

CREATE A REEL ON INSTAGRAM: Show us who you are and your passion for mountain biking and racing. This can be new or old footage, and biking or non-biking footage. Anything goes!

CAPTION IT: Tell us your story! Share a few words about yourself, why you want to pursue racing, what your goals are this season and why you're a great fit for the NAEC Privateers.

how it works:

ENTRY PERIOD

  • Entries will be accepted from March 1st 12:01 AM PST - April 21st 11:59 PM PST. Entries received outside of this period will not be considered.

  • Limit one entry per person.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Open to female US residents 18 years and older only. Excludes residents of New York, Rhode Island, Florida and Arizona. 

  • Participants may not have any sponsor affiliation for the 2024 season.

  • Participants must be able to attend the 2024 NAEC, June 15-16, 2024.

WINNER SELECTION

We have selected an amazing board of judges who will carefully review all reels with the hashtag #NAECPrivateers. The board will be selecting a winner and two runners up who they think best represent the values and goals of this contest. The winners will be announced by April 30th on Instagram. 

There is no skill level, or racing category requirement. What the board will be looking for is someone who has a passion for mountain biking, wants to race (no matter what category), and just wants to get out there and have a good time because that’s what you love to do.

JILL KINTNER

Jill Kintner is one of the most accomplished female athletes on two wheels. She won a BMX Bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics, three consecutive UCI 4X Mountain Bike World Championships, 15 World Cup wins, five Crankworx World titles, Downhill World Cup podiums, Pump track World titles, EWS Enduro stage wins, two NAEC titles, and 25 Elite USA National Championships.

PORSHA MURDOCK

Porsha began mountain biking as a way to make friends after moving to a new state. Since competing in her first enduro race in 2015, Porsha has won the Oregon Enduro Series, the Big Mountain Enduro Series, a National Championship, and represented the U.S. twice at the Enduro World Series Trophy of Nations event. In addition to racing, Porsha enjoys coaching and volunteering with the local junior cycling teams.

AMY MORRISON

Amy is a high school health science teacher who got into mountain biking 11 years ago. She grew up water skiing and pole vaulted at Clemson University, then was hooked on enduro racing after starting to ride. Among many other accolades, she’s the current U.S. National Enduro Champion, won the 2023 Trans Madeira, and has won the California Enduro Series.

ALICIA LEGGETT

Mountain biking transformed Alicia Leggett's world. She started riding as a teenager and began racing enduro in the Montana Enduro Series, branching out over the next few years to races nationwide and worldwide in the Enduro World Series. She's moved on from racing but is still part of the bike world. She works for Pinkbike.com writing articles about mountain biking and has spent a large block of her time there testing and reviewing bikes.

ADY BEE LANE

Ady Bee Lane is one of the directors/party planners for the Sturdy Dirty Enduro, the largest women's enduro race in the United States. She’s been a part of growing the Sturdy Dirty from its origins in 2013 into the beloved (and unparalleled) women’s-only event it is today. She likes to spend her time riding her bikes, trail building, skiing, hanging out with her kid and husband, and eating soup.

MELINA GLOCK

Melina got into mountain biking 11 years ago and what started as a personal thrill soon turned into a mission to get more people into the sport. She spent five years coaching, rallying friends, youth, and newbies alike to join in on the dirt-filled fun. Melina competed at local and national races for four years, and now works in the bike industry as the marketing director for the North American Enduro Cup.
