There is no skill level, or racing category requirement. What the board will be looking for is someone who has a passion for mountain biking, wants to race enduro (no matter what category), and just wants to get out there and have a good time because that’s what you love to do.

MEET THE NAEC PRIVATEERS BOARD

AMY MORRISON

Amy is a high school health science teacher who got into mountain biking 11 years ago. She grew up water skiing and pole vaulted at Clemson University, then was hooked on enduro racing after starting to ride. Among many other accolades, she’s a four time U.S. National Enduro Champion, won the 2023 Trans Madeira, and has won the California Enduro Series.

PORSHA MURDOCK

Porsha began mountain biking as a way to make friends after moving to a new state. Since competing in her first enduro race in 2015, Porsha has won the Oregon Enduro Series, the Big Mountain Enduro Series, a National Championship, and represented the U.S. twice at the Enduro World Series Trophy of Nations event. In addition to racing, Porsha enjoys coaching and volunteering with the local junior cycling teams.

ISABELLA NAUGHTON

Isabella grew up immersed in mountain biking, with both parents racing professionally, but her early passion was ski racing and racing off-road trophy karts. In 2016, she joined her high school’s mountain bike team and fell in love with the sport. Since then, she’s won Junior Downhill Nationals in 2018, multiple Big Mountain Enduro races, represented the U.S. at Trophy of Nations, and competed globally in World Cup enduro events.

RACHEL PAGEAU

Rachel started her cycling career at 12 years old, as an xc rider, “just for fun”! But it took only a month with her club and a single local race to get her hooked on bike racing. Since 2019, Rachel made the switch to enduro and then downhill. Her experience on the world stage is paying off including now 12 Enduro World Series, 2 DH World Championships, 3 CX World Championships, 15 XC World Cups and 23 DH World Cups.

KAIA JENSEN

Kaia grew up around mountain bikes, but wasn’t totally convinced until she discovered riding bikes really fast downhill and long adventure rides with friends. She then discovered enduro racing and even raced some EWS’s before discovering riding big jumps for jumps sake and diving into the freeride scene. In addition to competing, she has been coaching mountain biking for over 10 years, and just wrapped up her BS in Behavioral Neuroscience. Talk about a nerd with an affinity for adrenaline!

MEG BROWNING

Meg, the 2024 NAEC Privateer, has been racing bikes for 15 years! From a beginning in collegiate cycling on the road and track, now Meg loves enduro racing and exploring gnarly trails all across the northwest. When she’s not on her bike, you might find her spending time with her pets, or picking up cool rocks. As the president and head coach of the Mt. St. Mountain Bike Team, Meg is all about sharing the thrill of mountain biking and racing with the next generation of riders.

ALICIA LEGGETT

Mountain biking transformed Alicia Leggett's world. She started riding as a teenager and began racing enduro in the Montana Enduro Series, branching out over the next few years to races nationwide and worldwide in the Enduro World Series. The sport gave her the chance to push herself and meet amazing people. Now, she's excited for the chance to help pass mountain bike racing along to other up-and-coming riders.
